H.R.1105, the Omnibus Appropriations for 2009, here is another gigantic pork bill spending billions of your tax money. I believe this is the bill that had over 8000 earmarks in it. If you remember the president said during his campaign that he would not sign bills loaded with pork. Seems he conveniently forgot that promise as well as many others and he has not been in office 60 days yet. The Congressional Budget Office did not issue a report on the cost of this bill but the news media pegs it at over $400,000,000,000.00. Does this kind of spending make anyone nervous?
One thing worth noting, David and his democratic brethern are spending money at such a clip that the we will be broke before the end of the year. Our children and grandchildren will suffer a lower standard of living because of the excess spending by this congress. The republicans are powerless because the democrats have such a majority and will not allow the republicans to offer alternative bills or amnedments. So remember when your taxes go up, the cost of living takes off with double digit inflation you can vote the bums out of office. Of course you already know DAVID VOTED FOR THIS BILL.
Well that is about it for the week, but get ready they are prepearing to allow you to make the payments on home forclosures. That ought to be a great big spending bill as well.

Two more bills, H.R. 80 and H.R.637, passed today. H.R. 80 looks to be a bill to clean up some shortages regarding captive primates. It includes another 5 million of your tax dollars for the U.S. fish and wildlife to hire law enforcement.
H.R. 637, South Orange County Recycled Water Act, gives 23,500,000 to southern Califirnia for recyled/reclaimed water plants. Hey it's only money, your tax money. There are some of these projects that need to be funded by the Federal Government and this is probably one of them. DAVID VOTED FOR BOTH OF THESE BILLS.

Today there were votes on a few bills, H.R. 911, H.R 44, and H.R. 601. H.R.911 Stop child abuse in residential programs for teens. While it sounds good, your cost for 2010 according to the congressional budget office, 250 million. It appears to be another fact gathering mission like the bill covering the police passed previously. You have to wonder why they need so much information.
H.R. 44, Guam world war II loyalty act. While sounds like a nice thing, I for one wonder why sixty plus years after the fact we are doling out money to families of veterans. Just appears to be another way to spend more money that we do not have, don't get me wrong I have the utmost respect for wwII vets, but we really do not have the money to be doing these kind of things after 60 years?
H.R. 601, Box Elder Utah Land Conveyance Act. It appears this is simply the giving of park land to Box Elder county in Utah. For once a bill that does not cost us millions of dollars! Imagine that. Oh, I almost forgot S. 234, the renaming of a post office passed.
DAVID VOTED YES FOR ALL OF THESE BILLS.
